After undergoing extensive repairs, the roof of the 13th century church of St Peter and Paul in Edenbridge, was fully restored in time for last month’s festivities.

The roof had leaked for some time and had become badly infected with death watch beetle. These conditions affect many listed buildings and can threaten the stability of their structure. If conditions had deteriorated there was a risk that the roof may have eventually collapsed.
